Quintet Private Bank, headquartered in Luxembourg and operating across Europe and the UK, announced today the appointment of Christine Lynch as Group Chief Risk Officer and member of the Authorized Management Committee, subject to regulatory approval.

Lynch, who assumed her new role in Luxembourg on January 15, brings to Quintet over 25 years of international experience. She most recently served as London-based Chief Risk Officer, Wholesale and Markets & Securities Services, and Head of Enterprise Risk, Europe, at HSBC. Over the course of her career, she also served in roles such as HSBC’s Regional Chief Risk Officer for the Middle East, North Africa & Turkey, and Chief Risk Officer at HSBC Private Bank Switzerland.

Lynch succeeds Philip Tremble, who retired last year following more than four decades in banking.

“Christine is highly inclusive leader who brings to our firm a great breadth of experience across risk disciplines and global markets,” said Group CEO Chris Allen. “As a member of our leadership team, she will make an important contribution to Quintet’s sustained growth by maintaining a sound risk-management framework, ensuring that we manage risk appropriately, reflecting the interests of all our stakeholders.”

“After many years at one of the world’s biggest banks, I am excited to join Quintet, an independent wealth manager that cuts through complexity, fosters collaboration and prioritizes client proximity,” said Lynch, a British national who holds a BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester and a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Bath. “I look forward to working in partnership with my colleagues across Europe and the UK, contributing my experience and insight to this highly client-centric firm.”
