Empowering the Luxembourg non-profit scene

As every year, ING's objective is to support and promote the Luxembourg non-profit sector, which often still lacks the funds and resources to achieve its objectives, despite the remarkable work they are carrying out.

The contest

This year, the seven-member jury selected four projects in two categories, each of which received a cheque of 5,000 €. In addition, the jury had the possibility to award a share of the 10-year prize (an extra 10,000 €) to 3 more associations, and each of these 3 projects received a prize of 2,500 €. One of these 3 associations could win an additional 2,500 € thanks to the public vote, which decided which project was supported by a total of 5,000 €.

The categories

  • Financial inclusion: Any project of entities working to improve the financial condition of individuals, for example through education or social and economic integration.
  • Environmental protection: Any project by institutions working to protect the environment, for example by counteracting the effects of climate change.

List of winners in each category:

1. Category « Financial inclusion »

  • 3AL Autism Awareness Association Luxembourg asbl
  • Action pour un Monde Uni

2. Category « Environmental protection »

  • Pour un Sourire d'Enfant Luxembourg asbl
  • EBL Emweltberodung Lëtzebuerg asbl

The share of the 10-year prize went to:

  • 2care2share (2,500 €)
  • L’ONGD de la FNEL (2,500 €)
  • Aide à l’enfance de l’Inde et Népal (5,000 €)

The 7-person jury was composed of people from both inside and outside ING. Together they determined the most convincing projects in terms of value, impact and method of implementation.
