This donation is part of the “Investing for the Planet” campaign led by BNP Paribas Asset Management in conjunction with BGL BNP Paribas: the BNP Paribas Group’s two Luxembourg entities promised to donate EUR 1 to natur&ëmwelt for every EUR 1,000 invested in the BNP Paribas Ecosystem Restoration, BNP Paribas Smart Food, BNP Paribas Climate Impact and BNP Paribas Easy ECPI Global ESG Blue Economy funds. The money collected will fund the installation of nesting islands on the Haff Réimech ponds in Remerschen to protect its birdlife, and more specifically its common terns. These migrating birds have been reproducing there for several years.

Roby Biwer said: “On behalf of myself and the organisation, I would like to thank you for this initiative, which helps us to continue our work protecting nature and the environment.”

Stéphane Brunet pointed out: “We are aware of the challenges involved in sustainable development as well as the opportunities presented, and as finance industry professionals we have a responsibility to work towards the aims of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. For BNP Paribas Asset Management, saving the planet is a major issue, which is why we must keep innovating and find long-term solutions. The money invested in sustainable/solidarity funds helps us move forward.”

Béatrice Belorgey declared: “ESG criteria increasingly guide people’s choices and, with this campaign, retail clients of BGL BNP Paribas have a chance to contribute to tangible projects. Sustainable investment is a vital means of combatting climate change and protecting our ecosystem. Acting and investing responsibly is essential for our future.”
