Goodyear received the prestigious certification also for its European headquarters and for twelve other European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, UK, Turkey, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

The focus of the Institute’s research is closely aligned to Goodyear’s Top Talent and Team philosophy and the corporation’s common goal to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best team of associates. The audit covers key areas of HR policy to select the companies that are awarded their certification.  In Goodyear, we scored particularly highly in talent strategy, performance management, career and succession management and learning and development.

Silvia Sitzen, director Human Resources for Goodyear Luxembourg, said: “Being certified as ‘Top Employer’ once again in Luxembourg is an important acknowledgement for Goodyear.  It recognizes and rewards our company’s continued commitment to providing an outstanding working environment that attracts and retains highly motivated, engaged and skilled associates. From my perspective, it is equally valuable that the assessment also highlights where we should further develop our employee value proposition. We know there are some areas we can improve, and with continually evolving HR best-practices, this helps our leaders to focus on raising the bar."

Headquartered in the Netherlands, the Institute has recognized Top Employers around the world since 1991. “Dennis Utter, Global Business Director for the Top Employers Institute: “Optimal employee conditions ensure that people can develop themselves personally and professionally. Our comprehensive research concluded that Goodyear EMEA provides an outstanding employment environment, and offers a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programs that are well thought out, and truly aligned with the culture of their company.”
