As a specialist in premium porcelain, RAK Porcelain Europe chose the prestigious setting of the Cercle Cité in the City of Luxembourg to present its new collection. In a convivial atmosphere, more than 400 guests had the privilege of being among the first to discover this exceptional collection and were able to taste the recipe which Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess had offered the artist for his first porcelain collection.

The art and values of Jacques Schneider

Jacques Schneider, recently elected Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite civil et militaire d’Adolphe de Nassau by His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Henri, is an emblematic figure on the international art scene.

Whatever his preferred artistic form, Jacques Schneider does not only promote living-together, fairness, the preservation of nature, respect for tradition or the transmission of our Luxembourgish culture. He is also committed to offering a different perspective on contemporary art. Here, with undeniable tenderness, he offers us a romantic and lucid reading of our society.

Motivated by sharing and creation, he sees his partnerships - including the one he has just concluded with RAK Porcelain Europe - as windows open to the world.

A dream which came true

A shared passion for gastronomy, elegance and excellence naturally brought Jacques Schneider and RAK Porcelain together. For the artist, the “De Neie Lëtzebuerg” collection is like a dream: “It is also the culmination of a reRection based on the place of contemporary art in our society and the importance of passing on our values”.

Through this collection, the artist takes you on a journey to discover or rediscover the twelve cantons which make up our beloved Grand Duchy: Capellen, Clervaux, Diekirch, Echternach, Esch-sur-Alzette, Grevenmacher, Luxembourg, Mersch, Redange, Remich, Vianden and Wiltz. Each canton is showcased through the different pieces which make up this tableware: presentation plates, Rat plates, mugs, cereal bowls, cups and saucers, espresso cups, square dishes and deep plates. Not forgetting a three-tier stand (“serviteur muet”), which for those who know the artist, has no shortage of delights.

Dedicated to quality and elegance

RAK Porcelain has established itself as one of the world leaders in premium porcelain. Now present on five continents and in 165 countries, the company’s rapid growth is driven using high-tech equipment to produce 36 million pieces of oxide-enriched porcelain tableware and top-quality decorative accessories every year. This growth is also fuelled by a dynamic and proactive sales approach, as well as an unwavering commitment to design originality and production quality.

RAK Porcelain has been established in Luxembourg since 2005. In 2017, the company took a decisive step forward with the construction of a new multi-purpose building in Bettembourg, serving as its new European headquarters, showroom, and logistics platform. This impressive building, located in the

Z.A.E. Wolser F, covers an area of more than 5,500 square metres and has a storage capacity of 10,000 pallets. Alongside this expansion, RAK Porcelain has stepped up its recruitment efforts and now has 75 employees, with 12 million pieces sold in 2023.

“Ons Heemecht”

The partnership with Jacques Schneider and the creation of the new “De Neie Lëtzebuerg” collection are of vital importance to RAK Porcelain, as Mariella Di Giambattista and Sven Bodry, the company’s Operations Directors, commented. “It has been both a privilege and a real pleasure for our company to enter a creative partnership with such a talented and renowned artist as Jacques Schneider. In addition to his artistic genius, his ethical vision of art aligns perfectly with the values which RAK Porcelain upholds. We are particularly enthusiastic about his creations. We are also proud, as a Luxembourg company, to be able to use this new collection to promote the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg throughout our 165 partner countries.”
