Baker McKenzie Luxembourg recognized as "Luxembourg Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year" for third consecutive year and as "Luxembourg Tax Firm of the Year" for the first time by International Tax Review
Baker McKenzie Luxembourg is proud to announce it has been named 'Luxembourg Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year' for the third year in a row and 'Luxembourg Tax Firm of the Year' for the first time since its establishment, by International Tax Review (ITR), the premier publication for tax professionals.
The awards were presented at last night's European Tax Awards, at a dinner at the Savoy Hotel in London.
''We are honoured to receive these awards, which demonstrate how far we have come as a firm and how we are constantly matching our clients' complex tax needs. I would like to congratulate Antonio Weffer, Transfer Pricing Country Leader and Amar Hamouche, Tax Director on their excellence in their respective fields and thank them for the dedication they have shown our clients from the beginning. Despite facing fierce competition, they have managed to set the standards very high and will continue to do so in the future, " added Laurent Fessmann, Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie Luxembourg.
Baker McKenzie won another four awards including:
- Netherlands Tax Firm of the Year
- Netherlands Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year
- UK Tax Firm of the Year
- European Court of Justice Firm of the Year award at European level
Speaking after the awards ceremony, Antonio Russo, Chair of Baker McKenzie's tax practice in EMEA said, "I am delighted to see our tax and transfer pricing practices recognized for their significance in the European market last year. These awards are testament to the scope of talent of our tax practitioners in the region, and the quality of insights and practical advice we provide to our clients worldwide."
The awards have taken place annually since 2005 and seek to recognise the leading international tax professionals from around Europe and South Africa. They consist of national trophies for the best tax and transfer pricing firms in 27 jurisdictions; regional categories, such as for tax compliance and reporting; and deal awards focusing on the leading matters in a number of industry sectors and practice areas.
To determine the winners, the ITR researched from variety of sources. Submissions from firms were considered and the editorial staff consulted a large number of tax advisers and lawyers, tax executives and in-house counsel to identify and reward the most ground-breaking work.
