Silvia Sitzen, director Human Resources for Goodyear Luxembourg, opened the event and congratulated the jubilees for a total of 4.085 years of loyal services to the company. Mrs. Sitzen added that this “impressive number of years of experience and know-how was assembled by 14 women and 126 men and thus contributed to the company's success.”

Tim Davis, production director for Goodyear Luxembourg, reviewed in his speech the many changes in the tire manufacturing plant over the last 40 years. Each year had its challenges and in difficult times, the 'Tire Plant' took the opportunity to work on its future. The manufacturing plant for truck and earthmover tires invested in ambitious projects to improve the overall capacity of the existing production thus providing customers more of the effective tires that are requested.

Carlos Cipollitti, general director of the Goodyear Innovation Center Luxembourg (GIC*L) since November 2015, congratulated the jubilees and added that the success of Goodyear is based among others on the many success projects that have emanated from the Research center in Colmar-Berg. "Through your exemplary work, we were able to launch more than 1.000 new products in 2015 to the European and Asian markets. Most remarkable highlights were certainly the launch of our new ‘Vector 4 Seasons’  and thanks to your help we have the new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 ultra high performance tires ready for sales starting spring 2016.”

“On the truck tire side, the FuelMax ‘S’ tire won the ‘Luxembourg Green Product Award’ and Rice Husk Ash Silica got the Fedil Environmental award,” he added.

During the evening program, the guests were able to follow multimedia retrospectives, including the most important events of the years during which the jubilees have joined the company.

After the dinner show all the guests also received a small gift as a souvenir of this memorable evening.
