Paul Wurth and SnT sign Partnership Framework Agreement
On 27 January 2015, Paul Wurth and SnT, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust of the University of Luxembourg, have signed a Partnership Framework Agreement for a strategic collaboration
The common goal of this four-year collaboration is to foster research projects and develop marketable applications in the field of automation, control systems and smart building.
As a company of the Paul Wurth Group, the Luxembourg-based Paul Wurth Geprolux is specialised in the management and coordination of major civil and industrial construction and infrastructure projects and provides engineering services, among others, in the domains of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), electrics and sanitary equipment for buildings.
The development of smart software for building operation with reduced energy consumption and improved thermal comfort for the occupant is crucial for new as well as renovated buildings. Therefore, in future building projects, a special focus will be given to the involvement of and communication with the end-user via smart applications. Besides, building information modelling (BIM) as well as the use of design data will be underlying the building management systems, which are expandable to different modules depending on the user’s needs.
The collaboration with the University of Luxembourg in these research areas will allow to develop innovative and highly performant solutions that meet the customers’ requirements and expectations. With the signing of this agreement, Paul Wurth becomes the 23rd member to join the SnT Partnership Program.
