BGL BNP Paribas renews its support for Luxembourg milk producers and their “D’fair Mëllech” initiative
The partnership between the cooperative Fairkoperativ and BGL BNP Paribas has been renewed for another two years.
The agreement was recently signed at the Ettelbruck branch, banking partner to numerous farmers in the region. Fairkoperativ was represented by its President Danielle Warmerdam-Frantz and Vice-President Yves Klein, and BGL BNP Paribas was represented by Thierry Schuman, member of the Executive Committee, and Romain Girst, Head of Retail Banking.
By positioning itself as the main partner to the “D’fair Mëllech” initiative, the Bank is assisting Fairkoperativ in its activities focusing on the production and promotion of Luxembourg fair-trade milk. Renewing this contract reflects the bank’s commitment to being a socially responsible corporate citizen, and more particularly, its support for Luxembourg farmers.
The D’fair Mëllech initiative, which comprises various players in the Luxembourg milk production and distribution sector, aims to ensure milk prices are fair and provide proper compensation for the hard work of producers.
