BGL BNP Paribas supports Kindernothilfe Luxembourg
Presentation of two cheques for a total value of € 10,000
Two cheques were presented to the NGO Kindernothilfe Luxembourg at the BGL BNP Paribas head office on 13 February 2017. In replacement for end-of-year gifts, the Corporate Banking and Asset and Liability Management (Treasury) departments decided to support Kindernothilfe Luxembourg with a shared donation. In the presence of representatives from both departments, two cheques for a total value of €10,000 were presented to the heads of the organisation.
Created in 2009, the NGO Kindernothilfe Luxembourg protects and promotes the development of children living in the poorest parts of the world. The funds collected serve to support the “Care for AIDS orphans and protection against child abuse” project in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world. As part of this project, the NGO provides support to 6,000 children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion and stigmatisation.
This initiative shows once again how BGL BNP Paribas is making good on its commitment to be a responsible bank and illustrates its active participation in social and civic life.
