Luxair places a firm order for three Bombardier Q400, with an option on two additional aircraft
LuxairGroup today signed a firm purchase agreement with Bombardier Commercial Aircraft for three Q400
NextGen turboprop aircraft, with an option to eventually acquire two additional Q400 Nextgen aircraft
Based on the list price of the Q400 aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately 100.3 million US dollars. This purchase agreement represents a first implementation of the adoption last Friday by Luxair’s Board of Directors of its fleet renewal strategy until 2020. Luxair currently operates 7 Bombardier Q400, a state-of-the art turboprop which has proven to be cost-effective and ideally sized for most of the short and medium haul routes operated by Luxair Luxembourg Airlines.
“The addition of more Q400 aircraft, with their excellent environmental credentials and passenger comfort, is an ideal solution as we open more regional routes and expand frequencies”, commented Adrien Ney, CEO of LuxairGroup.
