Eurasian Resources Group increased aluminium output by 2.4% in first half of 2019
Primary aluminium production at Kazakhstan Aluminium Smelter JSC (KAS), part of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a leading diversified natural resources group headquartered in Luxembourg, increased by 2.4% in the first half of 2019, reaching over 130,000 tonnes from 127,000 tonnes, the amount for the same period in 2018.
Beyond the production figures, the export of primary aluminium in the first half of the year amounted to more than 122,000 tonnes, an increase of 5.2% on the same period last year (H1 2018: 116,000 tonnes).
Commenting on the results, Benedikt Sobotka, CEO of Eurasian Resources Group, said: “We are pleased to be recording growing primary aluminium output, once again showcasing solid performance at our Kazakhstan Aluminium Smelter JSC, the first and only producer of high-grade primary aluminium in the country.
