Starspeed Ltd., the oldest and most trusted corporate and VIP helicopter management, charter and training companies in Europe, part of Luxaviation Helicopters, celebrates 40 years of successful helicopter operations this Thursday in Fairoaks.

Luxaviation Helicopters, part of the Luxaviation Group, acquired Starspeed Ltd., the global helicopter management, charter and training company in September 2017 and positioned the company as the world’s largest VIP and VVIP helicopter operator.

During its 40 years of operations, Starspeed Ltd. operated in over 60 different countries, from over 10 different super and mega yachts, with 20 different types and variants of helicopters, including: Enstrom F28, Bell 206, AS350, AS355, AS365, EC155, EC135, EC145, H145, Bell 222, Bell 430, Bell 429, AW169, AW139, Sikorsky S76, Sikorsky S92.

Today, Starspeed Ltd. manages a fleet of 23 helicopters which incorporates into Luxaviation Helicopters own fleet of managed and charter helicopters, providing clients of both companies with an expanded and integrated portfolio of helicopter and jet aviation services from the Luxaviation Group. With Starspeed’s fleet, Luxaviation Helicopters now has a fleet of 42 helicopters.

Most Starspeed customers relied on the company’s excellence for over 20 years, a quality service proven by the attribution of the Eric Brown Award, for contributions to the helicopter industry to David Voy in 1999, and Dr Simon Mitchell in 2014.

As part of the Luxaviation Group, Starspeed benefits from access to the Luxaviation Group’s global portfolio of partners and clients, 25 world-class FBO facilities, 15 maintenance centres and the Group’s global fleet of more than 250 aircraft.
