Deloitte Luxembourg has taken to a new path, joining other Deloitte member firms such as Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK in the launch of Deloitte Private. The Deloitte Private initiative is a gathering of international specialists within the Deloitte network dedicated to providing specific advisory services to private companies, family businesses, and individuals.

With private companies facing distinct challenges, affecting not only the future success of the business, but also the professional and personal goals of their owners, their needs require a specific expertise.

Pierre-Jean Estagerie, Partner and Deloitte Private Leader in Luxembourg, explains the firm’s decision to increase the scope of the clients it serves: “Over the years, Deloitte Luxembourg has acquired in-depth expertise in the servicing of private businesses. We understand the different cultures that define private companies, and we recognize the particularities and needs that companies with this ownership structure face every day. With the creation of this new sub-brand, we address these particularities, capitalizing on the actions and experience of other member firms to help our clients thrive.”

Shared experiences are lessons learned
The Deloitte Private team will streamline their expertise, as the Luxembourg firm integrates its subsidiary and longstanding traditional accountancy practice in Luxembourg, Fiduciaire Générale de Luxembourg. With the integration of the FGL team—a team traditionally dedicated to the best interests of private businesses—the foundations of the new Deloitte sub-brand are reinforced. With a solid combination of knowledge and experience, the Deloitte Private team promises to bring the servicing of private businesses to a new level.

Jean Philippe Foury, Partner and SME Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg, explained his stance on the integration of FGL and Deloitte Private: “The decision to integrate is a natural step as it will offer Deloitte Private the opportunity to profit from FGL’s unique expertise within the private sector. By joining forces and sharing experience, we are well equipped to address the specific needs of private companies, family businesses, and individuals.”
