DLA Piper launches intellectual property & technology practice in Luxembourg
DLA Piper Luxembourg is pleased to announce the launch of its Intellectual Property & Technology (IPT) practice, with the appointment of Olivier Reisch as partner and head of the practice
Prior to joining DLA Piper, Olivier was head of the Intellectual Property and Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice of the Luxembourg office of a Magic Circle law firm. He was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2005. Olivier's experience spans international key players in both the financial and e-commerce sectors, advising on intellectual property, technology, media, telecommunication, e-commerce, e-payment laws, commercial contracts, trademark and copyright.
Olivier is a leading expert on GDPR, data protection and privacy issues, on IT outsourcing and procurement projects, in particular in the financial sector and the investment fund industry. Our global IPT group is one of the leading combined IP and technology practices with over 500 lawyers globally. All of our IPT sub-groups are ranked in the top tiers by the leading directories. The group operates on both a national and global basis, meaning work can be serviced cost-effectively, and with the same consistent high quality and cutting edge practices from any of our offices around the world.
Catherine Pogorzelski, DLA Piper's Country Managing Partner in Luxembourg, said, "We are delighted to welcome this highly experienced practitioner and to launch our IPT practice group. Olivier's skills and experience will be invaluable as we look to guide clients through the challenges posed by the intellectual property landscape, today and in years to come."
Stéphane Lemarchand, DLA Piper's Global Co-Chair, Intellectual Property and Technology Group commented, "Our IPT group is recognized worldwide by legal directories and industry members as one of the leading groups of its kind, seamlessly combining multi-jurisdictional reach with local knowledge and experience. We are delighted to have Olivier joining us. Our international Intellectual Property practice continues to go from strength to strength, and Olivier will be great asset as we expand our cross-border practice further."
