Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Etienne Schneider visits Luxembourg Stock Exchange
The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) receives the Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Etienne Schneider.
The Deputy Prime Minister Etienne Schneider was accompanied by Tom Theves, Chef de cabinet as well as Daniel Da Cruz, Chargé de la Direction générale du commerce extérieur et des investissements and were received by Frank Wagener, Chairman of the Board, Robert Scharfe, CEO and other members of the LuxSE Executive Committee.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the current activities of LuxSE with a special focus on the recent launch of the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX). LuxSE is the worldwide leader in the listing of green bonds. After the presentation, the Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation visited the markets and surveillance department and the Exchange’s IT surveillance centre as well as Fundsquare, LuxSE’s subsidiary, where they received further explanations on the functioning of a modern stock exchange. LuxSE has been serving the international capital markets as a leader of financial innovation for more than 50 years.
