JTC positions funds team for further growth with senior Luxembourg and London appointments
JTC Fund Services has made a double senior appointment in both Luxembourg and London as it continues to strengthen its globally-focussed fund servicing business.
Daniel Essoo has been appointed as a Senior Director based in JTC’s London office. With fourteen years’ experience in the international financial services industry, Daniel joins the established London Fund Services team to support JTC’s further growth in the City. A specialist in helping firms with complex, multi-jurisdictional corporate and fund solutions, Daniel has considerable experience in private equity and emerging markets.
Prior to joining JTC, Daniel was the UK Managing Director at SGG Group and before that held several senior positions within the financial services industry in the UK and in Mauritius. He started his career with PwC and holds a Master’s degree from Cambridge University.
In addition, Fèmy Mouftaou has joined JTC as a Director and Head of Business Development in Luxembourg. With considerable experience in investment fund services and as a business development professional, Fèmy will play a pivotal role in driving forward JTC’s growth strategy in Luxembourg and manage an international client portfolio.
Before joining JTC, Fèmy was Managing Director and Conducting Officer at Apex Fund Services in Luxembourg, and prior to that held senior roles at PwC and a telecoms group. He has also founded his own consulting business in West Africa, is the Vice President of the Luxembourg Africa Investments Association and a qualified Chartered Accountant. Educated in Belgium, Femy is a CSSF approved conducting officer. He recently spoke on behalf of JTC Fund Services at the IFI Global ‘Evolution of the Alternative Asset Management Industry’ Conference in London about the evolution and success of Luxembourg’s Management Company (ManCo) platform.
Nigel Le Quesne, Group CEO & Chairman at JTC said: “We continue to see real growth opportunities in our global funds business and Luxembourg and London are key centres at the core of our strategy. Last year we launched our JTC Global AIFM Solutions ManCo in Luxembourg and formed a partnership with INDOS Financial to offer an independent UK-based depositary service for alternative funds. We see good opportunities to build on these platforms further in the coming months and Fèmy and Daniel will undoubtedly play major roles in achieving our ambitions.”
