Banque Puilaetco Dewaay Luxembourg, a private bank founded in the Grand Duchy in 1987, announced today the appointment of Olivier de Jamblinne as CEO.

He replaces Franck Sarre, who has stepped down after serving the bank with distinction for nearly 20 years.

A seasoned private banker with significant senior management experience, both in his native Belgium and in Luxembourg, de Jamblinne served for the past six years as a member of the Executive Committee of KBL European Private Bankers (KBL epb), the parent of Banque Puilaetco Dewaay Luxembourg.

In his new role, he will further strengthen the ties that bind this private bank and the KBL epb group – which operates in 50 cities in Europe – while drawing upon both his Executive Committee experience and the insight he gained during his service from 1994-2006 as a banquier gérant and CEO of Banque Puilaetco Dewaay Luxembourg.

“Olivier is a banker’s banker, who has an unparalleled capacity to bring out the best in his relationship managers in the service of their clients,” said Yves Stein, Group CEO, KBL epb. “My Executive Committee colleagues and I are very pleased that he has accepted responsibility for sustaining and growing the business of Banque Puilaetco Dewaay Luxembourg.”

“I am delighted to return to the leadership of this client-centric bank, staffed by expert wealth management professionals,” de Jamblinne said. “Empowered by new technology and fully supported by our parent, we are focused on meeting the long-term needs of each of our clients, from one generation to the next.”

Resident in the Grand Duchy for three decades, de Jamblinne serves as a board member at a range of private-sector and non-profit organizations in Luxembourg and elsewhere in Europe. He holds a degree in economics from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
