Euromoney magazine names BIL “Best Bank in Luxembourg”
Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) was voted “Best Bank in Luxembourg” by Euromoney magazine– the acclaimed international finance and banking publication – at the Awards for Excellence 2015 ceremony, held in London on July 9.
These awards are conferred to highlight individuals and banks that have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation and drive.
In the review that culminated in BIL receiving this award, Euromoney recognised the Bank’s strong financial results and the dynamism of its commercial activities, a mere three years after it regained its independence and despite the introduction of the automatic exchange of tax information in Luxembourg on January 1, 2015. Euromoney also highlighted BIL’s capacity for innovation in the fields of internet and mobile banking.
Hugues Delcourt, BIL’s Chief Executive Officer, accepted this award with pride and enthusiasm: “The title of Best Bank in Luxembourg is testimony to the efforts made by BIL, particularly in the area of client-centric innovation. In 2014, the Euromoney Private Banking and Wealth Management Survey had already voted BIL “Best Local Private Bank in Luxembourg” and “Best Private Bank for Super Affluent Clients”. Such distinguished accolades over two consecutive years are clear evidence of the industry’s recognition and of BIL’s ability to offer innovative and relevant products and services to its clients. This award is also a perfect illustration of how our BIL2020 strategy is already generating positive results”.
