Deloitte Luxembourg opens its doors to students
Last week, a select number of students from German universities participated in one of the Deloitte Luxembourg Open Days. This was one of several Open Days organised by Deloitte over the past few weeks, each dedicated to a pre-selected group of students based on their fields and preferred languages.
I am very pleased by the outcome of the Open Days and this initiative has been as much a resounding success for the participants as it has been for us, as it has led to numerous encounters which will certainly prove to be fruitful
Delphine Berlemont, Head of Sourcing & Recruitment at Deloitte Luxembourg
The Open Days allowed students from Germany, France and Belgium to discover the environment of Luxembourg, while familiarising them with the working environment, career opportunities and the business culture which drive the Deloitte teams. Through activities, such as a treasure hunt around the city centre, the participants had the opportunity to interact closely with their groups and other Deloitte professionals.
The outcome and overall feedback from the initiative was enthusiastic: “It was definitely a great opportunity to talk to professionals in the various services at Deloitte. I really enjoyed exchange with the highly international teams within the organisation.” commented Alexander Rehmeier, a participant in the Open Days held last week.
Deloitte was further depicted as a place of diversity, integrity, unity, team spirit, among other aspects during a picture contest held with the students, in which the participants shared their opinion of what they had discovered during their visit as well as what Deloitte means to them.
Sharing these points of view, contributions were further presented on the ‘Your Future at Deloitte (Luxembourg)’ Facebook page and with 444 likes for her contribution ‘Unity’, the voters clearly designated Sophie Maris as the champion of the contest.
Delphine Berlemont, Head of Sourcing & Recruitment at Deloitte Luxembourg, stated: “I am very pleased by the outcome of the Open Days and this initiative has been as much a resounding success for the participants as it has been for us, as it has led to numerous encounters which will certainly prove to be fruitful.”
