BNP Paribas creates a Group Management Board for Germany

As part of its European strategy, BNP Paribas has decided to strengthen the successful development of its businesses and increase the Group’s visibility in Germany through enhanced cross-business cooperation between the German businesses, supported by the European and international presence and capabilities of the BNP Paribas Group.

BNP Paribas has been present in Germany since 1947 and is today one of the country’s most important European and international banks. The Group offers its customers a wide range of products and services through its three activities: Corporate and Investment Banking, Investment Solutions and Retail Banking. Today, the Group employs about 3,000 people at its various legal entities located in Germany’s main financial centres.

BNP Paribas announced today the creation of a Group Management Board for Germany comprising the following members:

  • Camille N. FOHL, BNP Paribas Group Responsible for Germany and Chairman of the Management Board;
  • Kai FRIEDRICH, CEO of Cortal Consors Germany and Retail Banking Coordinator for Germany;
  • Torsten MURKE, CEO of BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking in Germany;
  • Gerald NOLTSCH, CEO of BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S) Germany and Coordinator of Investment Solutions in Germany,
  • Johannes RIESTERER, CEO of Commerz Finanz and Coordinator of Personal Finance in Germany.

Camille N. FOHL was born in 1956. He started his banking career in 1986 at BGL (Banque Générale du Luxembourg) in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. He held positions at BGL and the Fortis Bank Group mainly in Retail and Commercial/Corporate Banking. Since 2009 he has been Acting Regional Head for Central and Eastern Europe and Asia for the BNP Paribas Group’s International Retail Banking business. In his new capacity, he will be based in Frankfurt.
