3,7 million text messages sent by tango customers for the New Year
This year again, lots of best wishes were sent by SMS, with close to 3,7 million text messages sent during the night of 31 December to 1 January alone, compared to 3.6 million text messages last year.
Despite the increasing use of electronic greeting cards and the importance of the social networks, text messages remain the preferred means of staying in touch with people one holds dear and to whom we want to wish a Happy New Year.
To ensure that all its customers could send their New Year's wishes without a worry, the tango team mobilized all efforts to prevent any service disruptions. "Our teams work throughout the whole year to ensure a maximum quality of service, even during this period of the year when the network is overloaded," confirms Claude Mihnjak, Chief Technical Officer at tango.
These teams still have quite a few surprises in store for 2013, with the increase in coverage of the 4G network and products that are ever more tailored to the needs of each person.
Tango wishes everyone a Happy New Year 2013!
