With the addition of these bright minds, Deloitte Luxembourg is demonstrating its confidence in what the future has to hold by reinforcing the main functions within the firm: audit and assurance, tax, advisory and consulting, and operations. With over 2,200 employees and more than 75 nationalities, the firm guarantees strong development by focusing on attracting new talent to continuously enhance the quality of service it delivers to its clients.

New ways of onboarding

True to form, Deloitte Luxembourg welcomed its new recruits on their first day for the onboarding and where they were able to meet fellow newcomers and start their integration into the firm. Much like many aspects of life under the current circumstances, this year’s format looked a little different, bringing into focus a completely new and innovative set-up adapted to fit with the current times. Well-equipped with masks, hand sanitizer and respecting the social distancing measures, the Deloitte new joiners spent their first morning at D.Square, welcomed by their new colleagues and able to explore the premises. The afternoon continued as the new colleagues participated in a variety of virtual presentations and activities, including a virtual gaming competition and speed meetings via Zoom.

Induction program 2.0

In the following days, the new joiners had further opportunities to meet and get to know their teams in a special induction program designed to integrate virtual onboarding and human interaction into their new work life. To kick-off the first day of the firm’s new virtual induction program, new joiners were welcomed by John Psaila, Managing Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg, followed by a presentation from Stephan Tilquin, Talent Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.

“Each and every effort plays an essential part in helping our new joiners on-board smoothly and feel welcomed and integrated, especially in the current context. We must learn and grow from the challenges we face. We trust our colleagues to ensure that their new team members are well-equipped to start their journey, helping them hit the ground running.”, explains Stephan Tilquin.

“Our new joiners are the future of our firm. By investing in our talent, we demonstrate our ambition and confidence to continuously serve our clients with the outstanding level of service they expect from us. No matter the circumstances, our firm is committed to empowering our professionals to grow, learn and succeed, with agility and excellence as guiding principles”, explained John Psaila, Managing Partner.

Deloitte has recently been recognized for its commitment to delivering a world-class talent experience. Deloitte ranked fifth overall and first among the Big Four in the World's Most Attractive Employers survey of undergraduate business students by Universum. Deloitte also ranked in the top 25 of the World’s Best Workplaces by Great Places to Work – a first for this year.

“These acknowledgements demonstrate the value we place in our people, without whom we would not be able to deliver the first-class experience our clients expect and deserve”, summarises John Psaila, Managing Partner.
