PwC continues to expand its technology capability and boost its internal transformation with the onboarding of Olivier Cardinal, IT Managing Director
PwC Luxembourg is accelerating the transformation of the firm and further strengthens its already robust IT capacity with the onboarding of Olivier Cardinal as IT Managing Director effective August 3, 2018.
Translating business needs into IT solutions
Olivier Cardinal brings years of experience as an IT Manager - IT Architect in large international banking organisations, with a focus on their transformation. “For some time, PwC Luxembourg has understood the importance of leading the path in technology enablement. We are very pleased to have an IT Transformation Expert, Technology Business Enabler and Culture Change Driver such as Olivier to boost our current transformation,” says Patrice Witz, Technology & Digital Leader at PwC Luxembourg.
“This appointment reinforces the commitment of PwC Luxembourg to our ongoing strategy to expand technology footprint and to succeed in our purpose to build trust in society and solve important problems. PwC is continuing to strengthen the capacity brought by our community, reaching now more than 250 technologists,” adds Patrice Witz.
PwC Luxembourg Experience Centre
In recent years, PwC Luxembourg has invested in developing state-of-the-art capabilities to serve client technology needs, focusing on areas such as, UX (User Experience), AI (Artificial Intelligence) RPA (Robotic Process Automation), Cybersecurity, Blockchain and Smart Identity, which will ensure that our services remain at the forefront of our client and internal needs. The launch of the Experience Center in February 2018 is indicative of how we are embedding such change to support business. With its unique methodology of Explore, Design, Build, the Experience Center is already helping clients embrace new technologies, unlock their creativity, and ultimately better serve their competitiveness.
The need to seek new profiles and develop skills
The digital revolution is also affecting the way we work and the number of people and types of profiles that companies are looking for. PwC Luxembourg is working closely with the Luxembourg Government on the recently announced Digital Skills Bridge initiative combining strategic workforce planning with specialist training/upskilling solutions to provide a pro-active mechanism to ready the workforce of today to solve the needs of tomorrow. On November 26,2018, Luxembourg Digital Skills Bridge was listed in the Financial Times’ top 100 digital champions (Europe).
