A concrete support to associations
Since their creation in 2012, the ING Solidarity Awards have aimed at rewarding and supporting Luxembourg associations through a two-part competition:

1. “Online voting”;
2. “Project selected by a panel”

1. Online voting: More than 34,000 votes were cast
A total of 124 associations signed up to the ING Solidarity Awards and the 40 receiving the highest number of online votes in www.ing.lu/solidarityawards were each rewarded with a cheque for EUR 1,000. Here is the list of associations in alphabetical order:

2. Project selected by a panel: 78 entries and 8 winners
This part of the competition required the associations to submit a project falling under one of the four categories below:

• National projects from partially voluntary associations;
• National projects from 100% voluntary associations;
• International projects from partially voluntary associations;
• International projects from 100% voluntary associations.

A total of 78 associations entered, submitting their projects to an independent panel of seven people: three from ING staff and four people from Luxembourg businesses and public office.

Winners per category:
5. “National projects from partially voluntary associations” category

• 1st prize (EUR 6,000): Association Thérapie Equestre ASBL
• 2nd prize (EUR 3,000): Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner

6. “National projects from 100% voluntary associations” category

• 1st prize (EUR 6,000): Association luxembourgeoise de Lutte contre la mucovicidose
• 2nd prize (EUR 3,000): Amicale Sportive des Handicapés Physiques Luxembourg

7. “International projects from partially voluntary associations” category

• 1st prize (EUR 6,000): FMMR – Fondation Meninos e Meninas de Rua
• 2nd prize (EUR 3,000): ONGD-FNEL scouts et guides pour le développement communautaire ASBL

8. “International projects from 100% voluntary associations” category:

• 1st prize (EUR 6,000): Aide au Vietnam
• 2nd prize (EUR 3,000): Life Project for Youth (LP4Y)

Luc Verbeken, CEO of ING Luxembourg, was really proud that ING Luxembourg could organize once again a great initiative like the ING Solidarity Awards: “It is a real pleasure to attend this year again a successful event like the ING Solidarity Awards that allows participating associations to benefit from considerable support and visibility.
