The Luxembourg-based business consulting firm LUXKO (which is known as ‘Luxembourg multiplying (X) with Korea’) has recently been awarded the 1st accreditation from the South Korean government recognizing them as the only official consulting partner in Luxembourg for South Korean enterprises seeking to expand their business operations to the Europe an Union (EU) market.

After celebrating the 60 years of diplomatic exchanges between South Korea and Luxembourg with the successful economic mission to SEOUL (28. NOV. 2022) supported by the Chamber of Commerce (Carlo Thelen), led by Franz Fayot (Ministry of Economy), the Crown Prince Guillaume, the S.Korean SME Minister, Young LEE announced that Luxembourg is a great business partner for South Korea as a long-term business partner.

The launch of LUXKO- Korea Business Center (KBC) plans to facilitate the entry of Korea n ICT innovative tech companies into the European market by leading their business development and incorporation of the European HQ in Luxembourg. LUXKO offers a turn-key system which covers market development project, technical support of after sales, strategic partnerships, HR recruiting and even the investor relation services. LUXKO Business Center also supports Luxembourg companies who are looking for growth market partners from South Korea for their business development.

A Korea Business Center, why with this challenging time?

We have undergone the pandemic while LUXKO had the peak working time as many Korean tech companies have strong needs to enter a new market to test and grow.

Five years ago, during the Economic Mission to South Korea in 2019, our one of major clients, CONTEC (NEW SPACE sector, Ground Station services) decided to set-up the 1st Korean new space tech, EU Headquarter in Luxembourg, CONTEC SPACE which is also located at the NEW KOREAN BUSINESS CENTER in Steinsel.

The founder of LUXKO, Semi PARK said: “We met our clients when they were fundraising the angel investment and last year, they closed Series C funding (50 million USD) and this year, CONTEC plans to be listed. In the last 5 years, LUXKO had various demo days in Luxembourg and some of the companies who we introduced have grown rapidly (currently Series A, B status).”

This lesson shows that the local investors should not miss out any ‘cross border investments opportunities’ to bring innovations to Europe via Luxembourg and scale-up for the EU market. This will create new jobs in Luxembourg and diverse Luxembourg’s vertical scale. By launching the Korea Business Center, we need more technical savvy business partners and investors who have a strong track record in ICT field success who can benefit from this innovation’s entry to the Luxembourg market.

Luxembourg’s local companies who want to expand their business networks and find the big South Korean market to enter, our LUXKO - KOREA BUSINESS CENTER in Steinsel (Industry zone) the door is open for entrepreneurs who wants to have venue for B2B meetings which is related with both Korea and Luxembourg.
