Innovation for young people: BGL BNP Paribas launches the AideFi student loanfully digital
AideFi is a type of financial aid introduced by the government to give students who meet certain criteria the possibility of funding their higher education. The government’s financial aid for higher education comprises four grant instalments and a student loan.
BGL BNP Paribas is launching the fully digital AideFi in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), the Ministry for Digitalisation and the Government IT Centre (CTIE).
Since 12 September, students have been able to request this loan to finance their higher education directly on the bank’s Web Banking app, without needing to visit a branch. Whether applying for the first time or requesting a new tranche, they just need to scan the QR code shown on the ‘Certificate for your bank’ letter sent by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, after making a submission through MyGuichet.lu.
This fully digital innovation is part of the bank’s approach to helping younger generations with their everyday affairs and plans for the future, being particularly attentive to their inclusion in society.
