KPMG Luxembourg reveals new sector leads.
The quartet will work alongside David Capocci on delivering his vision when he becomes Managing Partner on 1 October 2020.
Managing Partner-elect David Capocci explained:
“I’m delighted to reveal the composition of the sector lead team. With this group’s boundless entrepreneurial energy, relentless focus on the client, and more than sixty years of combined experience in the firm, I’m convinced we’re ready for a new era in a new reality.”
The new Heads of Sector, who represent KPMG’s client base in terms of skills and industry, will enter into function on 1 October 2020:
- Head of Asset Management ¾ Chrystelle Veeckmans
- Head of Alternative Investments ¾ Christophe Diricks
- Head of Banking and Insurance ¾ Jean-Pascal Nepper
- Head of Corporate and Public Sector ¾ Thierry Ravasio
By way of an introduction, KPMG produced this short video focusing on the leaders and their views on how COVID-19 has changed the outlook for Luxembourg’s various industries.
Capocci commented:

The Head of Sales & Markets, Stanislas Chambourdon, added:

Chrystelle Veeckmans
From 1 October 2020, Chrystelle Veeckmans will lead the Asset Management sector at KPMG. Chrystelle is an active figure in the Luxembourg financial community, and a member of various industry groups including EFAMA, ALFI and IRE. As an Audit Partner, she has worked for clients across a wide range of investment activities, ranging from the traditional UCITS to alternative investments, and investments for insurance companies. She is passionate about the fundamental transformation taking place in the fund industry and is ready to assist fund players in providing solutions to investors, reducing costs and contributing to a better society—namely by giving more importance to environmental, social and governance factors in decision-making of all kinds. She believes that a more efficient and sustainable industry will benefit everyone.
Christophe Diricks
From 1 October 2020, Christophe will lead the Alternative Investments sector at KPMG in Luxembourg. Alternative Investments or Private Assets encompass private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. Christophe assists AIF managers with governance to help them comply with regulatory requirements (notably AIFMD, BEPS, ATAD and DAC6). Technology and innovation are top of Christophe’s agenda. He recently launched a tool called “KPMG Idea”, an Intelligent Data Extraction Assistant which automates compliance work. Christophe is also the leading sponsor of the annual KPMG Luxembourg Private & Real Assets Substance Survey which takes the pulse of over 60 fund managers based in Luxembourg.
Jean-Pascal Nepper
From 1 October 2020, Jean-Pascal will lead the Banking and Insurance sector at KPMG Luxembourg. He brings extensive experience in the field, notably in large-scale transformation programs, customer-oriented solutions and human resource projects. Jean-Pascal has been a Partner in KPMG Luxembourg's Advisory practice since 2011. He began his career in 1997 as a Relationship Manager in private banking, managing Russian-speaking and Eastern European High Net Wealth Individuals. He joined KPMG in 2001 as a management consultant, performing and delivering organizational, IT and HR projects in the Luxembourg banking and insurance sector.
Thierry Ravasio
From 1 October 2020, Thierry Ravasio will lead the Corporate and Public Sector practice. Thierry is a firm believer in an exceptional client experience and is committed to bringing the best of the firm to serve the needs of local and international players in the sector. He has spent more than 20 years auditing a wide range of industrial, commercial and private equity groups as well as a number of financial institutions in reporting matters such as IFRS. Before becoming Head of Sector, Thierry held several leadership roles at KPMG: Head of People, Head of Markets, and Head of Private Equity.
