DLA Piper appoints Head of Operations in Luxembourg
DLA Piper today announces the appointment of Axelle Ferey as Head of Operations for its Luxembourg office.
Axelle has nearly 25 years’ experience in financial services, capacity building and asset management which she has developed across three continents (Europe, Africa and the United States). Working both in client-facing and support roles, she has helped leaders and entrepreneurs structure and grow their businesses and teams. Axelle joins the firm from KPMG in Paris where she worked as Head of Regulatory Advisory Asset Management. Prior to that, she spent nine years in Luxembourg working for one of the Big 4 firms where she contributed to the successful transposition of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive and coordinated a strategic initiative with a leading independent Luxembourg law firm.
Catherine Pogorzelski, DLA Piper’s Country Managing Partner in Luxembourg, said: “Axelle’s entrepreneurial mindset, client-centric approach and strong experience will bolster our leadership team, helping us to operationalize further growth and enhance our market footprint for the benefit of our clients. Her appointment is a key part of our growth strategy in Luxembourg and I am confident that she will help us achieve our goals both locally and internationally.”
Axelle said: “Empowering people is at the heart of everything I do. I am extremely pleased to join Catherine and the DLA Piper leadership team in Luxembourg to take up the newly created role of Head of Operations and support the firm’s growth dynamic in close cooperation with our International offices.”
