Over 70 participants seized this opportunity and discovered the new incubator under construction.

Professor Rudi Balling, Director of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB), presented the centre’s latest research results and compared the new incubator under construction with his own experience of setting-up the LCSB building in Esch/Belval a few years ago.

Jean-Paul Scheuren, President of the BioHealth Cluster and host of the event, presented the new incubator, designed to suit both new and existing companies in the fields of biotech, cleantech and ICT. The incubator is expected to receive its first tenants in the beginning of 2014 and will have the capacity to host 500-700 researchers, offering around 10,000 m2 of laboratory space.

Dr Thomas Dentzer, manager of the Luxembourg BioHealth Cluster, concluded the presentations and thanked the numerous participants for their presence. He also invited all interested parties to join the cluster on the cluster’s social media platforms, namely LinkedIN (BioHealth Cluster group) and Twitter (@LuxBioHealth).

The Networking Event then gave ample opportunities for participants to network and exchange experience. The event concluded with a summery networking BBQ, offered by the House of BioHealth.
