In continuation of the efforts initiated, this year’s edition details the concrete actions taken by the firm to bring positive change for its people, its clients and society at large. Organized around three pillars of People, Performance and Planet, the report offers a deep dive into the firm’s activities and how they contribute to making a societal impact.

John Psaila, Managing Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg, states: “Our Impact Report offers a unique perspective on the impact we, as a firm, endeavor to make in everything we do. Today, companies have a responsibility and a pivotal role to play in shaping the 21st century for the better and we are committed to playing our part in the common effort. The stories compiled in this report are concrete demonstrations of the way our people make an impact internally and externally, to the market and society.”

Repairing and reshaping tomorrow in light of the COVID-19 pandemic

The rich variety of cases demonstrated in this report exemplify how Deloitte Luxembourg is solving the most complex problems, in business and in society, through collaboration and connection. It also demonstrates how the firm addressed the challenges imposed by the current pandemic and implemented concrete solutions to protect the health and safety of its people while supporting its clients in navigating uncertainty at this time.

“The crisis we are going through requires us to rethink the way we operate, collaborate and deliver our services to our clients. While transformation has been at the core of our strategy for many years, the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of further embracing digitalization, agility and sustainability in every aspect of our activities. We aspire to  lead in reshaping a more sustainable future,” stressed John Psaila.

Going forward, the firm is aiming to continuously increase its capacities in the monitoring and evaluation of its impact by developing comprehensive reporting models to further strengthen its commitment to making a long-lasting societal impact. This includes the target of Deloitte’s global network to bring its CO2 emission to zero by 2030 through its WorldClimate pledge and impact the lives of 50 million people by the same date, as part of its WorldClass initiative.

“Our aim is to constantly step up and further develop concrete and meaningful actions to fulfil our societal and sustainability ambitions”, states Francesca Messini, newly appointed Sustainability Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg. Much looking forward to her new challenge, she further elaborates: “Sustainability is an instrumental topic for us at Deloitte, but also for our clients who understand that those who succeed tomorrow will be those who embed sustainable practices into each of their activities. This is why we are developing the tools and solutions to accompany them on this path to long-lasting positive change.”
