On 24 September 2018, the inaugural ceremony of Caritas Luxembourg new waiting room, recently renovated by Grant Thornton Luxembourg employees, was held in the presence of Marie-Josée Jacobs, President of Caritas Luxembourg, and Romain Bontemps, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Luxembourg.

Caritas Luxembourg beneficiaries will now be hosted in a brand new waiting room at the association located rue Michel Welter, in the station quarter.

The renovation of this visitor reception area was intended to improve the welcoming atmosphere and to better meet the hospitality needs of the beneficiaries.

This CSR project was part of a Grant Thornton global event "Growing Together in the community" on 13-14 September to help local communities unlock their potential for growth in over 130 countries in which Grant Thornton operates in.

"Through this collective activity, Grant Thornton Luxembourg employees were able to give of themselves to support Caritas Luxembourg, thus demonstrating our commitment to the local communities.", said Romain Bontemps, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Luxembourg.

"Thanks to new equipment and a small catering area, we were very keen to make the visitor experience more pleasant for Caritas beneficiaries. "

Caritas Luxembourg supports vulnerable populations in Luxembourg and worldwide including: single parent families, children and youth, migrants and refugees/asylum seekers, disadvantaged people like the homeless or those in a precarious situation regarding their dwelling and/or their income, as well as people who temporarily are not able to cope with their life.
