The Guardian and Delano seal an exclusive partnership
Maison Moderne and its Delano media brand have signed a syndication contract that gives it exclusive Luxembourg rights to content from The Guardian.
Since 16 April, the Delano editorial team has been curating the best international news written by the celebrated British paper, one of the most widely read news sites in the world. A daily article is selected for the new International News section on the Delano website.
Quality content from an independent source of news and opinion serves to augment the English-language site and its Noon Briefing newsletter.
The international English-speaking workforce in Luxembourg has become an increasingly significant readership segment for the local media, and a specific target for advertisers in the grand duchy. In this context, Delano has recently intensified its presence among that community by launching its Delano Live events as well as increasing the frequency of its newsletters.
Last September, what was a twice-weekly newsletter was distributed to more than 14,000 subscribers every weekday. But since the beginning of March, Delano Daily has been sending out two newsletters from Monday to Friday. The Breakfast Briefing at 6.45 a.m. provides an early round-up of the international, European and local headlines. The Noon Briefing links to the most important stories published on the Delano website and gives readers food for thought over lunch.
“The deal with The Guardian is another facet to our comprehensive media coverage,” says editor-in-chief Duncan Roberts. “We have already received compliments from The Guardian and readers for the curation of our International News content.”
