The employees of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg run for a good cause
EUR 3,595 donated to Autisme Luxembourg
During a ceremony organised on 27 September 2017, Carlo Thill, Country Head of the BNP Paribas Group and Chairman of the Management Board of BGL BNP Paribas, and Marc Lenert, a member of the Management Board of BGL BNP Paribas and Chairman of the Cercle Amical et Sportif of BNP Paribas in Luxembourg, presented a cheque for EUR 3,595 to Marc De Geest, Director of Autisme Luxembourg.
The cheque was presented after almost 70 employees of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg participated in the Luxembourg Night Marathon on 27 May 2017. To support them in their efforts, the management of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg had committed to make a donation proportional to the number of runners crossing the finish line. For the 12th year running, the involvement of the Group’s employees in Luxembourg has helped support a charitable organisation.
This year, the funds raised will be used to support the charity Autisme Luxembourg in its daily activities to assist people with autism. When presented with the cheque, Marc De Geest expressed his gratitude for the shared commitment to the work of Autisme Luxembourg.
Marc Lenert thanked the employees of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg who took part in the 2017 edition of the Night Marathon: “I would like to congratulate all Group employees who, by taking part in the marathon, have once again come out to support a good cause. As a responsible company, we support many initiatives in the area of social responsibility, and the marathon offers an excellent opportunity to combine sport and social engagement. Through their collective efforts, our staff members have contributed to the donation that we are presenting to Autisme Luxembourg tonight.”
