Haxe is an open source toolkit based on a modern high level strictly typed programming language. It is a state-of-the-art light-speed cross-compiler that offers a complete cross-platform standard library and ways to access each platform's native capabilities. The Haxe Foundation was created to fund long-term Haxe development and provides support to companies using Haxe.

The 2017 Haxe Summit is the first official conference for the Haxe programming language, currently taking place in Amsterdam on September 13-16. It follows in the footsteps of the WWX, a community event that was held annually in Paris for the past five years.
