The firm strengthens the Corporate Law department with the appointment of two Partners: Lionel Bonifazzi and Isabelle Charlier. With his years of experience in corporate law, tax law and accounting law, Lionel Bonifazzi brings all of his expertise to the firm’s clients. As a SOPARFI expert, he recently took part as a speaker with François Brouxel (Managing Partner) at the conference “Challenges for the SOPARFI, the top investment vehicle in Luxembourg” organised by Vistra Luxembourg and Kluwer Formations. Isabelle Charlier is a specialist in multi-jurisdictional deals with corporate structuring projects, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of companies and transactional business law. As a recognised specialist in corporate law, Isabelle has been in charge of the Wildgen internal working group on the reform of the Luxembourg company law regime. Isabelle also has extensive knowledge in the areas of transport with a specific focus on maritime law (she is a Board member of the Luxembourg Maritime Cluster).

The Corporate Law department also promoted three employees to Senior Associates: Thomas Biermeyer, Jérémie Ferrian and Fleur Marchal. Thomas Biermeyer specialises in cross-border corporate and commercial transactions and assists clients particularly on the international and EU aspects of their operations. He is the author of the study on the application of the Cross-Border Merger Directive conducted for the European Commission and has collaborated with the European Parliament on different studies in the field of EU company law. Jérémie Ferrian, also an expert in tax law, advises an international clientele on tax structuring, and on tax and corporate aspects of company reorganisations and relocation, corporate financing and debt restructuring. Jérémie is also active in the issuance of debt securities in regulated and unregulated markets. Fleur Marchal specialises in corporate transactions with a particular focus on domestic and international M&A, private equity and general corporate law matters. Recently, she has advised a US-based private equity house in relation to strategic acquisitions, restructurings and financings.

Meanwhile, the Commercial, Litigation and Labour department sees the promotion of two Associates to Senior Associates: Claudio Orlando and Jil Roeser. Claudio Orlando specialises in civil law, commercial law and criminal law. He also has strong experience in construction law, on which he has written numerous articles and has spoken at various conferences. Jil Roeser specialises in litigation and labour law. With seven years of experience at Wildgen, she also advises her clients on corporate law issues.

The firm also promoted Daniel Krauspenhaar (Banking and Finance) and Emma Massicard (Investment Funds) to Senior Associates. Daniel’s activity focuses on financial restructurings as well as financial transactions and regulatory banking matters. Daniel is a member of the Wildgen German Desk. Emma Massicard provides the firm’s clients with expertise in the fields of investment funds and corporate law.

In addition, the firm promoted Ester Colaci (Litigation department), Guillaume Dally (IP/TMT department) and Haoyang Yan (Corporate Law department) to Associates.

Managing Partner François Brouxel comments: “These new appointments show and confirm the growth of our firm, while strengthening our position on strategic practices. Through these nominations we want to highlight our talents and reward them for their work, skills and knowledge acquired over the years. They will need this expertise in their new positions.”
