Gilding the Cloche d’Or
Building blocks for Deloitte Luxembourg’s future home
Today, Wednesday 22 June, Grossfeld PAP and Deloitte Luxembourg marked the laying of the foundation stone for Deloitte Luxembourg’s future headquarters in Cloche D’Or. The new building will not only crown the already magnificent architectural works in the area, but, most importantly, bring Deloitte Luxembourg’s different service lines and departments back together under one roof. Yves Francis, Managing Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg: “We are excited that the construction work for our new building has begun. It marks an important milestone in our 65 years of history and reflects our ambition to develop collectively. We are a fast-growing firm, and as a consequence, we need to make sure we can function as the team we aspire to be. Sharing expertise, knowledge and best practices works best when colleagues meet at the watercooler, over a coffee or in a quick face-to-face meeting. It is time that we bring all our professionals together under one roof in a place that matters—to us, to society and to our clients.”
As the developer of the new Cloche d’Or project, Grossfeld PAP, a partnership between Extensa and Promobe, is delighted to welcome Deloitte Luxembourg as a new occupant of the urban district. The new area of Cloche d’Or has a strong focus on ecological, commercial and socio-cultural aspects and the developer is eager to attract companies with a long-term commitment to sustainable development.
The new complex is characterized by a high-rise tower – height 60m – with an “urban terrace”, and a second building – height 22m – inter-connected by an atrium. The complex will be located at the strategic intersection of the new Kockelscheuer and Raiffeisen Boulevards and is scheduled for completion in October 2018.
Deloitte’s new headquarters were designed by the Luxembourg architects Paul Bretz and Stefano Moreno. The official laying of the foundation stone was held on the construction site in Cloche D’Or. The ceremony was opened by the Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, and the Mayor of Luxembourg City, Lydie Polfer.
