Numericable lists record high yield bond on Luxembourg Stock Exchange
The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) listed and admitted to trading a USD 5.2 billion bond from Numericable-SFR S.A. on 18 May 2016. The issue amount makes this the largest single high yield bond ever issued.
The bond, listed on the Euro MTF market of LuxSE, bears an interest of 7.375%, payable semi-annually, and matures in 2026. Issued as senior secured notes of the company, the proceeds of the issue will be used for refinancing existing debt.
Numericable-SFR, part of the Altice group, is France’s second largest telecoms operator and has major positions in all segments of the French market. The bond follows on from the group’s record breaking multi-tranche issue in 2014, which was also listed in Luxembourg.
This listing further strengthens the LuxSE’s position as the leading European venue for high yield bonds, for which it has more than fifty per cent market share.
