3 new counsel at ELVINGER, HOSS & PRUSSEN
The partners of Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen are pleased to announce the promotion to counsel of Azadeh Djazayeri, Arnaud Cagi-Nicolau and Emmanuel Gutton
These promotions demonstrate the firm's continuous commitment to develop the careers of talented lawyers and to strengthen the practice areas in which they excel.
Azadeh Djazayeri’s practice concentrates on cross-border financing and refinancing transactions (including real estate, acquisition, leverage, structured finance and syndicated transactions) as well as restructurings.
She became a member of the Paris Bar in 2005 and was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in October 2008 under her home title. She joined Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen in April 2011.
Azadeh is "maître en droit" from the Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis, holds a “D.E.A.” (“Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies”) in Business Law from the Université Aix-Marseille III, a “Doctorat en droit des affaires et droit des sociétés” from the same university and an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen, she worked for six years in two Luxembourg law firms (including a Magic Circle firm) on banking matters, international cross-border financing transactions (including real estate, acquisition, leverage, structured finance and syndicated transactions), restructurings and regulatory matters.
She is fluent in English, French and Persian (Farsi).
Arnaud Cagi-Nicolau specialises in collective investment funds and other investment vehicles. His practice encompasses a broad range of alternative investment funds (including private equity, real estate and hedge funds) as well as undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities. He also advises on derivative documentation (implementation of EMIR, ISDA documentation and derivative instruments implementing investment strategies), collateral management, securities lending, repo and prime brokerage arrangements.
He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2004 and to the Luxembourg Bar in 2010. He joined Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen in November 2009.
Arnaud holds a “D.E.A.” (“Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies”) in Private Law from the Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis as well as a Specialised Masters degree in International Business Law and Management from the ESCP and HEC Schools of Management. Prior to joining Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen, Arnaud worked for the Paris office of two major international law firms.
He is fluent in French and English.
Emmanuel Gutton's practice concentrates on collective investment funds and other investment vehicles. He advises a number of investment fund promoters and other financial institutions in relation to the set-up and structuring of their Luxembourg investment fund operations, focusing in particular on promoters and financial institutions located in Asia. In September 2012, Emmanuel relocated to Hong Kong to join our new office there as resident senior associate. He will be returning to the Luxembourg office in early September 2015.
He became a member of the Paris Bar in 2005 and joined Elvinger,
Hoss & Prussen in June 2010.
Emmanuel holds a “D.E.A.” (“Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies”) in Business Public Law from the Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) as well as a Specialised Masters degree in International Business Law and Management from the ESCP and HEC Schools of Management. Prior to joining Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen, he worked for five years as a business lawyer in a major law firm in Paris and for the Luxembourg office of an international law firm.
He is fluent in French and English.
