Cargolux live animal product benefits from live animal station extension in Luxembourg
Cargolux’s newly launched CV Alive product is boosted by a significant extension to the animal station at Luxair’s Cargo Center in Luxembourg
The existing facility has seen the addition of fixed stalls while nine collapsible stalls are available on request. This brings the total capacity to 50 stalls.
In a second phase, Luxair will make a room available to grooms and animal handlers that allows them to remain with their travelling animals at all times.
The enhancement of Luxair’s facilities adds to the expertise that Cargolux has developed in 45 years of air cargo operations. The airline is renowned for its handling of live animals and its commitment to safeguard the welfare of the animals it carries by affording them the safety, comfort and security they deserve. Cargolux handles animal shipments with special care and in full compliance with the IATA Live Animal Regulations and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species. The Luxair Cargo Center also offers live animal inspection rooms and veterinary facilities.
