the project will enable winning interactions between generations! ING Luxembourg wishes a full success to this innovative project!

Luc Verbeken, CEO of ING Luxembourg

Among these business plans, ING Luxembourg and the City of Esch-sur-Alzette had opted for an innovative project of intergenerational project presented by an enthusiastic and experienced entrepreneur, Mr Moussa Seck.

Concretely, the project has two objectives: on the one hand, it aims at responding to the wish expressed by most elderly people to continue living in their houses, even after these have become too big for them and on the other hand, at helping young people working or studying in Luxembourg to find a solution to the shortage in housing.

By linking young people looking for a house and seniors willing to live in a safe environment at home and / or for an additional income, the launch of that project in the student City of Esch-sur-Alzette will have a triple impact. First, it will allow elderly people to stay safely in their houses ; secondly, it will give young people the possibility to find housing more easily, in reasonable financial conditions and thirdly, it will contribute to reinforce solidarity between generations by reducing isolation and loneliness of some people.

Luc Verbeken has underlined that “the project will enable winning interactions between generations! ING Luxembourg wishes a full success to this innovative project! I also hope that our cheque of 10,000 EUR, as well as the one of the same amount of the City of Esch-sur- Alzette, will contribute considerably to the launch of this new concept and will allow the project presented by “Un toit 2 Générations Luxembourg, ASBL” to quickly develop. This action fits well with ING’s choice to support business creation and development and it corresponds perfectly with our mission of socially responsible company ».
