New appointment within Deloitte
Laurent Berliner named EMEA Risk Services Leader for the financial services industry.

Laurent Berliner, partner within the Enterprise Risk Services practice at Deloitte Luxembourg has been appointed as new Risk Services Leader for the financial services industry across Deloitte’s Europe Middle-East Africa (EMEA) region. This appointment further emphasizes the specific expertise of Deloitte Luxembourg in serving the financial services industry.
Since 1998, Laurent has been providing services in governance, risk management, internal audit, internal control and regulatory compliance to some of the most prominent companies across the banking, insurance and investment management industries.
He has been one of Deloitte’s business risk leaders of the EMEA region since 2005 and is a member of the Deloitte Global Governance and Risk Management Council. In addition to that, he has been leading the business risk services of Deloitte Luxembourg for more than 8 years.
Laurent is also actively involved in several professional bodies in Luxembourg but also at a global level. He is a member of the board of directors of the Luxembourg Risk Management Association (ALRIM), a member of the board of directors of the Luxembourg Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), an international committee member of the Global IIA and a member of the Luxembourg Investment Fund Association (ALFI) operational risk working group.
